Sizing

Correct sizing for Hug Of Joy pouch slings is very important for the comfort of the wearer and baby.

To find your size: use a soft tape measure and start at the outer tip or point of your shoulder, and measure diagonally across your BACK to your other side. The tape measure should be Very, very snug. The place on your side where the tape measure should end is where the side seam of a fitted tee would be.

To help you find the place to end your tape measure: Stand up and bend your torso sideways (like I'm a little tea pot) The crease in your side when you bend, where you can poke your fingers way in, is the spot you measure to.  Your fingers will be resting on the bottom of your ribs, and it's about 2 inches above the level of your belly botton.  (your actual measurement is done when your standing back up straight of course)   (  :

The number (in inches) should be in the 20s.

Try taking your measurement 3 times - often the first try is not very accurate.

Now, if you :

* HAVE A BRA SIZE THAT IS DD CUP OR HIGHER
ADD 1/2 inch to your final measurement

If you are:

*PREGNANT & YOUR BRA BAND SIZE OR HOOKS HAVE GONE UP:
SUBTRACT  1/2 inch OFF your final measurement.

Finally, please compare your measurement with the size chart to see if you measured  correctly. The size chart is just a guideline, so taking your measurement is very important for getting a proper fitting sling.
